Good food. Selected wines. Fine local ales. Big flavours and hearty meals

This quintessential Inn, the Church House offers a regular lunchtime and dinner menu.   We are very proud of the fact that we make and cook everything ourselves. Big flavours and hearty meals. The chef provides daily, a selection of interesting and mouth-watering specials.  Whether you just fancy a baguette or a more substantial meal it is all here for visitors.   We guarantee that if it is just a baguette you will want to return for a full lunch or dinner.

All our produce comes from local producers, whenever possible. Most of our meat is Dartmoor born and bred.  Fantastic fresh locally sourced fish is also on the menu.

Fine beers and ales – a select grouping of hand drawn real ales from local breweries and a good cross-section of draught ales and lagers.  There is nothing better than a pint, beautifully kept and supped in hospitable company.

Selected wines – a wine list to appeal to most palates, selectively compiled with our guests in mind.  The list reflects global trends and provides quality and value.  A total list of 17 wines at everyday prices and 7 wines by the glass.
Local produce, Dartmoor grown meat, fresh locally sourced fish and a skilled chef all combine to give a mouth-watering menu. You can be assured that all the food you are eating is fresh and in season.  Home-made and home cooked means exactly that -  the service is personal to you. We cook each meal to order, so be patient – the wait is well worthwhile.

In addition to our regular menu we have daily specials prepared in our kitchen.
